There are many strong opinions about healthcare today.

I believe it is safe to say, that if a physician is doing their best for what is in the best interest of the patient, for the ideal outcome of ideal health, with evidence based practices, then we now have a place to start.

Integrative medicine is neither a new concept nor an old one, but rather an ideal for which many modalities of medicine, from all traditions, can come together and find a way to help our patients. Without being myopic or biased, but open and understanding, we have much to learn from our past as well as discover about our futures. Also, if we can all integrate holistically, to better be functional in our daily lives, the result can be a healthier future.

At Howard Kim Acupuncture and Integrative Health Systems, LLC, we believe that it is possible to bring together the traditions of the east and the west to find common ground. In order to bring awareness and insight to health for all our patients and the communities in which we participate. By nurturing our minds we can nurture our lives. Our goal will always be to bring our patients to the center and approach their concerns with great respect and awareness.

What can Chinese medicine do for me?

Chinese medicine has been practiced for over 2500 years by doctors and healers who have strived to better understand the human body as well as understand our relationship to the world that we live in. Through these insights the physicians of the era have deduced that there is a direct relationship with our own lives and health when in contact and appreciation of the environments that surround us. By way of preventative healthcare practice principles, these doctors and healers based their entire practice on the sole principle that if we holistically treat the body by strengthening functionality (Yang) & material (Yin), we will know the body's own ways to confront and appreciate the environments and it's effects upon us. With better efficiency and adaptation, the capacity to encounter what effects us or transforms us, beneficially, as humans in a world upon which we exist in; this should be our measure and definition of health.
